Building a Brave Space Within Your Organization

What is a Brave Space? While organizations realize the importance of DE&I initiatives and programs, many leaders are still grappling with how to provide education and platforms for employees to openly ask questions, learn, and discuss these sensitive topics. We hope you will join the NEORR community, as we discuss what some Northeast Ohio companies are doing to build upon their company culture by encouraging open and honest dialogue from their employees hoping to learn and grow in this area.

  • What is your organization doing to provide a “safe” or “brave” space for discussions and learning opportunities for employees?

  • Studies show that organizations are continuing to lose talent because they haven’t created a culture that is truly welcoming. Has your organization put any programs or initiatives in place to ensure a welcoming culture?

  • It must start from the top! How involved is your executive and C-suite leadership with the DE&I initiatives for your organization and what type of training is being provided to help them lead by example?

  • How can organizations make their policies flexible enough so employees are not questioning whether their organization is organically a true supported of DE&I
