Membership
Types of membership
Corporate Membership: Open to individuals employed by local corporate/subsidiaries regularly engaged in the relocation of their employees and/or who have a non-commercial interest in relocation and are interested in increasing their knowledge and education in relocation-related programs and issues.
Service Provider Membership: Open to individuals employed by service providers that are preferably members of the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council (worldwideerc.org) and whose primary business activity is in the relocation field.
Individual Membership: Open to anyone who may have left the industry, recently got displaced, or who is looking to join the industry.
Community Membership: Any non-profit that works with and/or can benefit from a closer relationship with the relocation market, is eligible to join NEORR at no charge. Complimentary memberships require approval of the NEORR Board of Directors.
membership term
The membership year shall begin on January 1 and terminate on December 31 and will be considered renewed each year with the payment of dues, unless the member fails to remain in good standing or resigns.
Membership Dues
Corporate Membership - Annual Corporate Membership is FREE. Corporate members are required to apply to become a member with a membership profile.
Service Provider - Annual dues for service providers are required for membership. Membership dues are $150 for each member (Early Bird discounted rate of $125 for membership registration completed prior to January 31st). Memberships are issued on an individual basis, and not issued to a company or entity. For companies with multiple employees as members, each individual person must purchase a membership for $150 (early bird rate applies as well). For new members joining after January 1st, dues are not prorated.
Voting Rights
Corporate members have full voting rights. For service members, payment of dues entitles each service member to attend all meetings, have access to the NEORR membership roster and vote.
Guest Policy
Guests may be allowed however, the guest fee will be assessed per meeting as required and are non-refundable.
Admission to membership
Application for membership shall be made electronically (via website) and submitted to the NEORR Board of Directors. All applications/submissions shall be reviewed by the members of the Board of Directors (or designee of the Board) for approval or for rejection based on the applicant’s ability to meet the qualifications prescribed by these Bylaws.
With the ongoing intent to increase Corporate Membership, the Board from time to time may, for example, grant free guest passes for any future meeting as part of membership promotional drives.
TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP
The resignation of any member shall be in writing and become effective upon submission to the Board of Directors. Any dues paid to a date beyond such resignation period will not be refundable.
Membership may be revoked by vote of the Board of Directors when a member becomes ninety (90) days delinquent on any financial obligation, engages in activities detrimental to the NEORR, or is otherwise ineligible. The member will be notified, in writing or via e-mail, by the Board of Directors.
NON-SOLICITATION
All members and guests are prohibited from soliciting business in any fashion at NEORR meetings and may be asked to resign if they do. In such cases, membership dues are non-refundable. Guests involved in the solicitation of business will be denied membership.
MEMBERSHIP TRANSFERS
Individual membership are eligible for a one-time transfer from one person to another within a given company, providing any dues have been paid by the company and the board approves the new member based on membership criteria as stated previously. Individual memberships may not be shared or rotated amongst multiple employees.
Should a member leave the employment of their organization, the active membership may be reassigned to another authorized individual within the organization. The former employee must meet the established criteria to re-join NEORR as a “new member” with their new employer.
